Desert Song

LYRICS

I was living in the driest desert,
With plans to fill my tub,
But no water spilled from the silvery spout,
There’d be no rub-a-dub-dub!

No water filled the bathtub
I screamed to my mom and dad,
I can’t enjoy a bone dry bath,
It made me feel so sad!

Deserts, deserts, dry biome,
Some might say as dry as bone,
It’s still a place, a lot calls home,
Dry dry dry, dry dry biome!

Mom and dad said it’s really dry,
Under desert’s sunny sky
Not a place for baths, you know,
There’s not a lot of H-2-O

But things are here that can survive,
You can see, they even thrive,
Flying birds,
Walking mammals,
Like Desert hawks,
And humped-back camels,
You’ll find plants,
Observe reptiles,
Thorny cacti,
Snakes with guile…
Fox, and toads, and hares, and ants,
Desert has inhabitants!

Deserts, deserts, dry biome,
Some might say, as dry as bone
It’s still a place, a lot calls home,
Dry dry dry, dry, dry biome!
Living things, they must adapt,
Not much water to be tapped,
Deserts, Deserts dry biome,
But still a place a lot calls home…

Now Deserts they’re dry
And they’re all around the globe,
And they might be hot, or they might be cold,
Arctic deserts, They’re caping the poles,
Two cold deserts, aren’t good for barefoot strolls
Hot deserts, hot deserts, sand below your feet,
when you’re walking in the desert You can feel the desert heat!
In Africa, you can find the Kalahari,
you better pack water or you’re gonna’ be sorry…
Mojave, Gobi, Atacama, no water wastin’!
In the US, you can hike the great basin!
Sahara, the largest dry desert of them all, sunshine and sand dunes are standing super tall!
Deserts it’s simple, deserts it’s plain,
Every year it’s less than 10 inches of rain!
Deserts it’s simple, deserts it’s plain,
Every year it’s less than 10 inches of rain!

Deserts, deserts, dry biome,
Some might say, as dry as bone
But still a place a lot calls home,
Dry dry dry, dry dry biome!
Living things, they must adapt,
not much water to be tapped,
Deserts, Deserts dry biome,
But still a place a lot calls home…

I like it here, it’s really dry,
Hot or cold,
No rainy sky,
Not a place for gal or fella’
If they like to use an umbrella,
Might be Ice,
It might be sand,
Rarely rains on desert land,
Deserts are dry,
They’re meant to be,
So says Earth’s geography…

Deserts Dry!
Oh My How Dry?
Not a lot a rain falls,
to the land down from the sky!
Deserts dry?
It’s what I can’t deny
Not a lot a rain falls,
to the land down from the sky!

Deserts, deserts, dry biome,
Some might say as dry as bone,
Not a place a lot calls home,
Dry dry dry, dry dry biome!
Living things, they must adapt,
there’s not water to be tapped,
Deserts, Deserts dry biome,
Not a place a lot calls home…

I stand in sand, with my dessert,
Melting ice cream on my shirt…
Sun shines down on me today,
Ice cream cools so good I say,
I realize then how to spell
Dessert and desert,
It’s really swell,
I’d rather have more dessert,
So It has more S’s, I’d assert,

Deserts, deserts, dry biome,
Some might say as dry as bone,
Not a place a lot calls home,
Dry dry dry, dry dry biome!
