The biggest cat,
The meanest cat,
A feline that’s for real…
If you forget these tiger facts,
You may become my meal!
If you think I’m African,
Perhaps I gotta’ eat…
Everything that smells like you,
Starting with your feet!
If you think those Lions are,
The largest cats on land…
I might make a meal of you,
Starting with your hand!
If you don’t know,
My dark black stripes,
Are tiger’s special marks,
I might decide to,
Taste your toes,
My teeth are sharp as shark’s!
The biggest cat,
The meanest cat,
A feline that’s for real…
If you forget those tiger facts,
You may become my meal!
Tigers are the largest of the four big cats (lions, tigers, leopards, jaguars) which makes them the largest cats on Earth. An adult male tiger can weigh up to 660 pounds (300 Kg). In comparison, adult male lions weigh in at around 550 pounds (250Kg)
Tigers never have been native to Africa and currently are found only in some parts of Eastern Europe (such as Siberia) and in countries in Asia.
The largest wild tiger population lives in India with about 1,400 individuals remaining.
Tigers in the wild are endangered because of habitat loss and fragmentation.
