The biggest cat,
What is a Tiger?
Tigers are the largest of the four big cats (lions, tigers, leopards, jaguars) which makes them the largest cats on Earth. An adult male tiger can weigh up to 660 pounds (300 Kg). In comparison, adult male lions weigh in at around 550 pounds (250Kg)
Tigers never have been native to Africa and currently are found only in some parts of Eastern Europe (such a Siberia) and in countries in Asia.
The largest wild tiger population lives in India with about 1,400 individuals remaining.
Tigers in the wild are endangered because of habitat loss and fragmentation.
